Four Corners Archive project began in 2016 with a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund. The project has worked with 51 volunteers to research, digitise, archive and make oral history recordings for the creation of this digital archive. The physical archives are currently housed at the Bishopsgate Institute. An archive exhibition and talks programme ran in Summer 2018.

Four Corners Digital Archive

The project is made up of three resources covering the period 1972 to 1987: Four Corners, Half Moon Photography Workshop (later Camerawork) and a full, searchable run of Camerawork magazine content.

This website features contextual articles, issues 1-32 of the Camerawork magazine, oral history accounts, selected archival film and audio clips, over 3000 examples of content selected from exhibition photographs, posters, press releases and other material and ephemera.

Important information for researchers

Some material on the archive site has been redacted until Four Corners is able to secure further copyright permissions. More information on the redactions can be found here.
