Nicaraguan women describe details of their daily lives under the Somoza regime in this instructive documentary. The film consists of sepia still photographs with a single voice-over reading extracts of interviews made with women from different backgrounds and varying degrees of involvement with political changes. The Tiger's Milk gives a strong sense of the solidarity among the women and their relationship to the revolution, to men and to each other. Their emancipation is seen as integral to Nicaragua's revolutionary process.
